If you’re currently staying at Lisbon Cosy Hostel, are on your way to us, you might like to check these Rules & Regulations. Their aim is to make our hostels happy, safe, respectful places to stay for all guests.

 

1. Booking

Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under 18.

No payment is required to secure your booking. Your card will not be charged — it is only needed to guarantee your booking. You'll pay in cash at arrival. 

 

2. Check In

Check in starts from 15:00 until 0:00 am. 

New arrivals can check into their rooms from 3 pm. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel but access to rooms will not be granted until 3pm.  Driving licences, bank or student cards are not accepted as valid travel documents, you must show a valid national ID card or passport. You need to pay in cash at arrival.

 

Reception is close at 0:00 am. Please inform Lisbon Cosy Hostel in advance of your expected arrival time.

 

3. Check Out
Check out is at 11.00 am. If you check out late, you will be asked to pay for an extra night, so make sure you’re up and ready in time! Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, by 11.00am. At this time, all possessions must be removed from the dorm/room. If you need to store your luggage on the day of your departure please arrange it with reception. We offer free luggage storage until midnight after that 3EUR/bag/day may apply.

 

4. Room allocation
When booking beds in dorm rooms for you and your friends, we try our best and allocate you in the same room.However we may not be able to put you the same room. Book a private room if you want to guarantee you’ll all be together. Please be aware that you may be assigned a top bunk.

 

5. Room occupancy

You may not exceed a room’s maximum occupancy.  Single dorm beds are reserved for one person only.  Double/Twin rooms are for two people.  Failure to comply with this rule will result in the charge of an extra night.

 

6. Room Key

Upon check in, guests will receive a room key for access to both the hostel and their room. If you lose your keys, we charge €20 for a replacement.

 

7.  Visitors are not permitted after 23h00. 

 

8.   Age Restrictions
We cannot accept children under 6 years old. Guests who wish to bring their children between 6 and 8 years of age must book a whole dorm or private room. For guests aged  between 9 to 16 years of age, they can book into one of the dorm rooms, but must be accompanied by an adult. (over 18). Guest aged 17 years old can be allocated in the dorm individually.

 

9.   48-hour Cancellation policy and No-Shows for Standard

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival (local time). Payments made to Hostelworld or other websites are non-refundable. However, if you only let us know the day before your arrival, or fail to show up on the arrival date, the first night will be charged. If you arrive a day late without informing the hostel, we will try and find you a bed, but this may not be in the same room type booked and may incur extra charges. 

 

10. Guest Behaviour
The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to us. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property.

If you come in late at night, please be respectful to other guests that might be sleeping.  Enforced quiet hours are between 11:00pm and 8am.

 

11.  No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. There is a smoking area in outside the building for guests who wish to smoke. Any guest found smoking inside the building will be fined £750.00, asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund.

 

12.  No Drugs
Any guest found using drugs within the building will be fined £750.00, asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund.

 

13.  Alcohol consumption
Alcohol consumption is only allowed for guests over the age of 18.

 

14.  Personal Property
Individual lockers for laptops and small valuable items are in dorm rooms. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times, and LisbonCosyHostel accept no liability for the loss, theft or damage to guests’ property, however sustained or caused. We strongly recommend you bring a padlock (size 8 ) to use with the locker or your luggage and backpack. If you do not have your padlcok we can provide one for a small fee.

 

15. Damage to LisbonCosyHostels’ Property
Guests will be expected to reimburse LisbonCosyHostel for any damage caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay.

 

16.  Your Information
LisbonCosyHostel shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you.

 

17.  Errors and Omissions
Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, dispatch note, invoice or other documents issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.

 

18.  Discretion
All bookings are subject to availability and LisbonCosyHostel reserve the right to decline any booking at its discretion.

 

Failure to comply with the above rules may result in cancellation of the remaining reservation at the guest’s expense and/or penalty charges.
